Songbird: muere Christine McVie a los 79 a�os

Christine McVie, histórica integrante de Fleetwood Mac, ha fallecido.

Durante horas de la tarde se dio a conocer la triste noticia de que la cantante, tecladista y compositora murió "tranquilamente en el hospital esta mañana". Sin entregar mayores detalles, se informó que el deceso se produjo tras "una corta enfermedad".

Nacida en la localidad de Bouth en 1969 como Christine Anne Perfect, McVie se unió a Fleetwood Mac en 1970, luego de un corto período en la agrupación Chicken Shack, teniendo éxito con el single 'I'd Rather Go Blind' (Etta James). Desde ahí participó en todos sus discos hasta "The Dance" (1997). De su autoría son algunas de las canciones más reconocidas de Fleetwood Mac, como 'Songbird', 'Don't Stop' o 'Little Lies'. También fue dueña de una carrera solista, cuyo último trabajo fue en colaboración con Lindsey Buckingham.

Una vez conocida la muerte de Christine McVie, de inmediato se publicaron diversas muestras de condolencias de la comunidad musical, incluyendo sus compañeros en Fleetwood Mac.

Sad to hear of Christine McVie's passing. In honour of her I'm playing Rumours full blast. I was just reminded that this album was released well before BRICKWALL mastering came into practice. And the songs, OMG! What a great writer McVie was. These songs are Classic Classics!
