Of Montreal anuncia reedición extendida de "Sunlandic Twins" Celebrando los 20 años de su lanzamiento Domingo, 02 de Marzo de 2025 “The Sunlandic Twins (20th Anniversary Edition)” se titula la reedición ampliada que la banda estadounidense Of Montreal publicará el 14 de marzo, vía Polyvinyl, de su celebrado álbum “The Sunlandic Twins” de 2005. Lanzado originalmente en abril de aquel año, el disco marcó un importante punto de inflexión para Of Montreal, mostrando la evolución de la composición de su líder Kevin Barnes y un cambio hacia un sonido más electrónico y orientado al baile. Según el texto de promoción, “la vibrante mezcla de synth-pop y psych rock del álbum ayudó a consolidar su estatus como uno de los favoritos de los fanáticos y un momento decisivo en la carrera de la banda. Temas icónicos como ‘Wraith Pinned to the Mist and Other Games’ y ‘The Party’s Crashing Us’ se convirtieron en algunas de las canciones más queridas del extenso catálogo de la banda”. Para celebrar este vigésimo aniversario del álbum, Polyvinyl lo lanzará remasterizado por Glenn Schick, con una masterización en vinilo a media velocidad de Miles Showellhecha en los estudios Abbey Road Studios. “The Sunlandic Twins (20th Anniversary Edition)” incluye el álbum original de 13 pistas junto extenso material adicional de la época, incluidos material en vivo, pistas inéditas y rarezas que ofrecen una visión más profunda del proceso creativo detrás del disco.
