Box set de 14 discos de Van der Graaf Generator está en camino "Interference Patterns - The Recordings 2005-2016" sale en septiembre Jueves, 07 de Julio de 2022 Una nueva caja recopilatoria, que se centra en la obra post reunión 2005 de la banda inglesa Van der Graaf Generator, será editada el próximo 23 de septiembre por el sello Esoteric Recordings. Bautizado “Interference Patterns – The Recordings 2005-2016”, el box set incluye todos los álbumes lanzados por el grupo entre 2005 y 2016: “Present” (2005), “Real Time” (2007), “Trisector” (2008), “Live At The Paradiso” (2009), “A Grounding In Numbers” (2011), “ALT” (2012), “Merlin Atmos” (2000) y” Do Not Disturb” (2016). El set en vivo de 2009, “Live At Paradiso”, estaba agotado hace mucho tiempo y también aparece en DVD en el box. El compilado incluye, a su vez, un raro cedé en vivo adicional anteriormente solo publicado en el lanzamiento japonés limitado de “Real Time”. “Interference Patterns” traerá además un libro de 96 páginas con un extenso ensayo y entrevistas con la banda por parte del reconocido periodista musical Sid Smith. Asimismo, cada álbum vendrá con sus carátulas originales de manera separada. La clásica formación de Van der Graaf se reformó por primera vez desde 1978 en 2005, aunque el saxofonista David Jackson se marcharía un año después, dejando un trío formado por Peter Hammill, Hugh Banton y Guy Smith, que se mantiene activos hasta el día de hoy. “Interference Patterns – The Recordings 2005-2016” es el sucesor de “The Charisma Years 1970-1978” (2021), que recopila, en 17 cedés y tres Blu-rays, todas las grabaciones que los liderados por Peter Hammill grabaron para Charisma Records en su primera etapa.
